KL design week.

Heyos~


KL design week was quite fun for me that day. (though I wished I could go to saturday's
but.. expensive, next time bah..) I'm going to be quite straightforward here..haha..


The Save Our Earth theme was a very nice idea IMO. Wildlife ftw~♥
There were many cloth bags with various kind of designs. (I wish I could buy some.)

Here are some of the design that caught my eyes.

This bear save design is my favourite out of all the designs I saw on the bags,
because it's funny and easy to understand. (and also cause I love animals. hoho)

Wow~ the idea they come up with... ♦○♦!

..(yay for Simpsons fans..! I wonder how long they took to do this?)

Oddly enough,

this bunny reminds me of Alice in Wonderland.

Probably because of all the different kinds of creatures
displayed there. Makes me think how do they come up
with all these weird stuff. They're weird but interesting.
I love how all these things look so out of the world.

Must've took a lot of time and sweat to complete this.
Really feel amazed.

Again, I'm just really attracted to weird creatures in their
fantasy world~
Is it a bunny? Dog? Squirrel? BunnieDogSquirrel? 8O
Is that it's home? Why's it broken?

Apparently, I got so absorbed in the artworks that I lost track of the group...unfortunately.

But I did find my way in the end...

Anyway, I hope there'll be more events like this in the future,

so we can gain more experiences and get more knowledge from the experts. >)

KL Design Week !!

I know, One thing that on that day It was Blazing Hot !!. But Kl Design Week Open my Eye to See Things in different way. There Were a lot Design about Saving the Earth. The Idea for saving the earth was very unique. The Most Interesting to me was the Kl Flicker group. They are group of community that meet up somewhere in kl and take picture. Their picture was really great. and they did some Really Unique Stuff.. i Don't really know how to explain but It was really Cool.. Maybe One day i do something Like that.

But there was some really boring display of stuff. They dont even attract anyone and it was so empty no want even bother looking at it. Ha-Ha.

Hohoho...where do i start man.The design week really open my eyes. I know that designer's are creative but i never tought that they are this good(i mean for MALAYSIAN). This show's that Malaysian are now open for design like this. So far this trip is really meaningfull to me especially the information for the incoming party(free boose dude) hehehe... wish i could go anyway. I added few picture from there wish you guys enjoy it(Riza)

If only i could draw like these. This is one of my favourite artis. I used to collect magazine like utopia,gempak etc. But unfortunately zint is not there.

KL Design Week

It was a good trip overall. Got a chance to see alot of unique & creative design work done by pro designers and students. The 'Go Green'/'Say No To Plastic Bags' campaign had alot of unique designs that gave out some very powerful messages. There were also a bunch of digital paintings done by some guy(forgot his name) which were pretty good too. Then there were also the very boring & weird designs that didn't attract me at all. Well maybe that's just me. Anyway, the weather was blazing hot, Capsquare sucks (yes it really does) & Starbucks owns the whole ground floor area, that means they even protect their dusty little chairs outside. Let's try putting a pregnant woman there & see what those people do. Nescafe for life!

Ah, it was so fun to be able to visit the KL Design Week...next time should attend that kind of event somemore. About the visit, i like the exhibiton about the plastic bags, so inspiring....also wanted to buy the design magazine...but very expensive loooohh T_T sob. Love some pictures escpecially the character design, and illustration. woa it's so damn nice XD eventhough the technique is not that hard but the concept is tottaly awesome! XD XD XD XD Love it....
And got one fashion illustration thingie which make me jawdroped, omg omg marvelous! I love illustration, i love fashion, and i love digital painting...hmmmm i should think about it....(future job maybe?) LOLLOLLOLLOL

it will be so exciting if we can invite one of the artist to our school, give a short tuttorial or workshop maybe???

KL Design Week 2009 visit

Hello hello!

Since I have to post something about our visit to the (free) KL Design Week exhibition yesterday...

We saw brown bags encouraging people to say NO TO PLASTIC BAGS. We saw trees wrapped in coloured cloth (God knows what for. Probably because designers are weird.) We saw a guy trimming leaves off a bush in complete ignorance of environmental conservation. We saw some aweshome drawings (aweshome is correct, I like to spell my Awesomes with an H in between) and paintings and some pretty things.

I have pictures, but this is typed on Kar Heng's laptop in class and he just said "Why so long wan.." so maybe later laa. Okay? Okay. Yay.

Hi all,

The first thing we saw on that day is the Eco Bag Exhibition. It's quite interesting to see various designs and works to promote the same (one) message. It is very encouraging. Some designs are really nice and special. The next thing the fascinate me is the digital fashion designer thing, beside USM booth. The designer can really draw and came out with really beautiful work. So nice till I forgot to take a picture of it haha..
