Hey Everyone!

Its May 15th and I am about to finalize all your marks and grades for submission soon. I have a great big dilemma! All of you have done good. Some great some good and some okay. Overall all of you did well. I am sorry If I didn't give you all any initial marks information. we were too caught up about the next intake and the intakes after that, the plans for the move to new campus, Northumbria degree etc.

Nevertheless, I hold you guys close to my heart as you are the first pioneers of this school and you would definitely hold great sentimental value to the Design School. In light of this, I want to express a heartfelt thanks for a good semester! I thoroughly enjoyed th e sessions and I am looking forward to much better and fruitful sessions with you all for next sem. I cannot guarantee that life would be easy next sem but I do know that our team of teaching staff and industry partners, would be better prepared to equip you with more creative ammunition (armor piercing bullets! and WMD) to blow our minds!

I bet Vivek will still be waering the same shirt until the end of the Diploma programme. Why not huh! ha ha! Here is a tribute to Vivek and his shirt:

This is a tribute to Vivek's magic. When this was shot, it was only half the semester! he he! plerase click on this URL

KL Design Week

-->HOT~~ I'm sweating like a pig.....
-->went to Capital Square.
-->theme of the first exhibition was about being environmentally friendly, save the tress and not using plastic bags
-->congratz to the designers who managed to do a great job in fabricating their ideas on the bags which managed to catch my attention

-->Scary Mr Charles~ -!!he abandon us there!!-

-->That's me on the monitor!! Don't think you guys could see me though, the quality of the pic isn't good....

-->nice illustration & drawings :

--> wanted but too expensive.... -sniffle-

-->Everybody crowding to get FREE sweets!

its been a very hot day!! global warming~ I wish that there were more tress..>< style="COLOR: rgb(255,0,0)">barbequed" by the sun... going to be like a roasted duck soon though..hehe..=.="

When i 1st walked into capital city square where they held the earth hour exhibition, i was like "WOAH"~! it juz caught my eye @@
bags of various designs hanging on trees to explain the importance of saving our earth n to say "NO" to plastics bags, was juz AMAZING~! the place is filled with IDEAS~! i really love most of the designs.. i can even see some humour in some of those designs..:D
as i'm a nature lover, i do appreciate all their hard work in putting them up n organizing those events.. =)

the design above shows 2 different characteristics of the the earth... "polluted and non polluted"

see vivi n yen wei taking their own sweet time walking~ how sweet~ wakaka =X

these are some fine work by Gigi Gee~ they are made from polymer clay which in baked in the ending process at about 250 to 300 degress~ looks simple, bt it really is HARDWORK... ahhh~ i want them~ but too expensive~ sob..T.T

this is a portrait of Gigi Gee with her self made earing ><

these are some sinned series sketches by dennis hew, who is having an unexplainable affinity towards abstract horro theme since the age of 6..

Q: do u see someone?? who is this here??? @@??

A: secret~ shhh~ hehe =P

what you can do, we cannot do;
and what we can do, you cannot do;
but together we do something beautiful.

Last of all, after going to capital square... we head on to KLCC... and i went to kinokuniya, bought a book about drawing "THE UNDEAD"... hehehe... =X

KL DeSiGn WeeK...

That day the thing that i know is the weather is HOT!!!!...But the other thing is i learn a lot from that day....That day the 1st we went was the design about Saving The World.The things that they drew is about no more using plastic...Those designs are quite nice and creative but the bad thing is the area is quite warm that makes me sweating=.=". Then i saw some drawing that interest me, it's a kind of character design of a monster. It's really inspire me to learn more since my character drawing isnt really nice. The other stuff...a bit boring for me cos mayb i'm not really interested. Actually the trip was so fun and it let me know more about Creative industries and Design thingy...=P

KLDW

 it was a pretty hot day!! i was enjoyed to get tanned while walking under the sun!XD

the theme of this exhibition is 'say"NO" to plastic bags!'
well, they still using plastic wrapper for the sweets that they given to us. duh!~~

i can see that they put lots of efforts on designing the bags.
some of them are really good n strong idea and design but there are also a few designs that i think the idea are not powelful enough.

are they trying to encourage us to use tree?

it's a cool machine!

this thing is made by sugar i think.

The LV bag is inside the Chanel case?

Handmade bracelets by Gigi Gee. There are necklaces n earrings as well.
the staff told me the process of make this thing with clay and i realized this is a fine work.
no wonder it cost RM100+ for a necklace.

made up by newspaper..it's cool.

KL design week.

Heyos~

KL design week was quite fun for me that day. (though I wished I could go to saturday's
but.. expensive, next time bah..) I'm going to be quite straightforward here..haha..

The Save Our Earth theme was a very nice idea IMO. Wildlife ftw~♥
There were many cloth bags with various kind of designs. (I wish I could buy some.)

Here are some of the design that caught my eyes.

This bear save design is my favourite out of all the designs I saw on the bags,
because it's funny and easy to understand. (and also cause I love animals. hoho)

Wow~ the idea they come up with... ♦○♦!

..(yay for Simpsons fans..! I wonder how long they took to do this?)

Oddly enough,

this bunny reminds me of Alice in Wonderland.

Probably because of all the different kinds of creatures
displayed there. Makes me think how do they come up
with all these weird stuff. They're weird but interesting.
I love how all these things look so out of the world.

Must've took a lot of time and sweat to complete this.
Really feel amazed.

Again, I'm just really attracted to weird creatures in their
fantasy world~
Is it a bunny? Dog? Squirrel? BunnieDogSquirrel? 8O
Is that it's home? Why's it broken?

Jack in a box? Plushies~?!♥

Product Designs~
Cute and colourful.

Maybe I should paint my mannequin too..

Some students works I saw that day. From Tunku Abdul Rahman University
if I'm not wrong.

Apparently, I got so absorbed in the artworks that I lost track of the group...unfortunately.
But I did find my way in the end...
Anyway, I hope there'll be more events like this in the future,
so we can gain more experiences and get more knowledge from the experts. >)
